All courses at College of Commerce of Further Education are funded through the National Development Plan (NDP) and there are no formal tuition fees for EU nationals. However some charges apply
1. Programme Participant Contribution
This fee of €200 is payable for all participants on PLC Courses.It is an annual contribution introduced by the Government in the December 2010 budget. The following categories of students are exempt from this charge:
- Full medical card holders in their own right
- Those who are eligible under the student grant scheme
- Those in receipt of Back to Education Allowance (BTEA) and Vocational Training Opportunities Scheme (VTOS) Allowances.
Students will have to provide proof of exemption when enrolling on their particular PLC Course
2. Student Service Charge
All Students will be liable to pay a student service charge of to cover the cost of photocopying and other materials for the year. There is no exemption for any student with regard to this fee.
3. Examination Fee
Student are also liable to pay an examination fee of between €50-80 for full QQI certification. Medical card holders are exempt from this charge.
4. Manual Handling Course
This is an extra part of the Healthcare Course and requires an outside agency to certify training.
5. First Aid Certification
This is required for both the Childcare and Healthcare Courses. This charge will be confirmed closer to the time.
