This course is designed for those who have a flair for the mechanical and who wish to pursue engineering subjects coupled with the business and design skills necessary for employment. It will suit those who wish to work on practical projects alongside the requisite theory needed for safe entry to the workplace. Students produce pieces from original designs in the Engineering facility at the college through a variety of processes such as machining, joining and bench work processes. Students develop an awareness of good work practices relating to the running and maintenance of an engineering workshop.
